Gators Initiate ITA All-American Tournament with Pre-Qualifying Competition

Florida women's tennis will initiate play this weekend with all six Gators attempting to earn a spot in the ITA All-American main draw.
CARY, N.C.– Florida women's tennis is set to compete in the 2025 ITA All-American Championships this weekend to kickoff fall play. The event, hosted in Cary, N.C., has three stages of play: pre-qualifying, qualifying, and the main draw, with the Gators hoping to have representation in each round.
 
Pre-qualifying singles and doubles will begin on Saturday, Sept. 20 with Val Gynina, Lucie Pawlak, Nikola Daubnerova, and Xinyi Nong all competing. Depending on their Saturday results they will then advance to Sunday's prequalifying round of 80 for singles and the round of 16 for doubles.
 
For Monday play, Florida's duo of returning sophomore Daubnerova and Miami transfer Nong have already earned a doubles spot in the qualifying draw and will play in the round of 16. On the singles side, newcomer Gabia Paskauskas will compete in the qualifying round of 64. The official matchups for qualifying play will be announced at the conclusion of prequalifying play.
