GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The No. 5/8 Florida swimming & diving programs travel to Auburn, Alabama, for their final SEC dual meet against No. 15/13 Auburn on Friday, Jan. 16. The Gators look to remain undefeated in conference dual competition heading into the SEC Championships on Feb. 16-21.

All-Time Series against Auburn
Friday marks the first dual between the two teams since 2022 when the Gators swept the Tigers at home with the men winning 201-99 and the women 184-116. Overall, the men boast a 32-17 all-time series record, while the women having a 26-16 advantage.
About the Tigers
Led by Ryan Wochomurka, Auburn makes its first appearance since competing at the NC State Invitational on Nov. 20-22, where both programs finished second. After opening the season ranked No. 20, the Tigers have climbed in the polls, with the men sitting No. 15 and the women at No. 13. Auburn has yet to compete in a conference dual this season but have fallen to No. 6/4 Tennessee and No. 7/18 Georgia in tri-meet competitions.
Auburn's men feature multiple swimmers ranked among the SEC's top 25, led by Kalle Makinen and Daniel Krichevsky, who both rank top-10 in the 50, 100 and 200 freestyle. Mack Schumann, Danny Schmidt and Luke Bedsole are ranked in the distance events. The backstroke events are highlighted by Ivan Tarasov's No. 6 ranking in the 100 back, with Makinen, Sohib Khaled and Sammy Empey also rank top 20. Auburn is represented in breaststroke by Maston Ballew and Uros Zivanovic, in butterfly by Khaled and Abdalla Youssef Nasr and in the IM events by Schmidt, Ballew and Schumann.
On the women's side, Elizaveta Klevanovich ranks top five in both the 50 and 100 free, along with Lora Komoroczy, Bella Ekk and Sammie Hamilton who appear in the distance free events. Komoroczy also sits No. 5 in the 100 back, with Ellis Fox listed as well. Auburn is well represented in the breast events by Zoey Zeller, Annika Finzen, Hanna Schmidt, Kiia Metsakonkola and Olivia Dinehart, while Komoroczy, Izzy Iwasyk, Carissa Rinard, Taylor Bacher and Coco Croxford appear in the fly events. Lastly, Zeller, Bacher and Maggie McGuire represent the Tigers in the IM races.
Gators Last Time Out
Swimming opened the new year with a dual-meet sweep over No. 14/12 LSU on Friday, Jan. 6, as the men defeated the Tigers 156-105 and the women 174-87. As a program, the Gators recorded eight events sweeps (1,000y free, 200y free, 100y breast, 200y back, 200y breast, 500y free, 100y free and 200 IM) and grabbed the top spot in 19 events with 13 names tallying at least one win.
Gator diving turned in a strong performance at the Tennessee Diving Invitational on Jan. 7-9, with Camyla Monroy earning top-two finishes in all three women's events. Monroy won the one-meter and platform, while adding a second-place finish on the three-meter.

Florida's men are highlighted by Josh Liendo, who ranks first in the 50 free and 100 fly and second in the 100 free. The Gators' sprint group also features Scotty Buff, Alexander Painter and Devin Dilger. In the distance events, Ahmed Jaouadi tops the conference in both the 500 and 1650 free, with Gio Linscheer, Charlie Hutchison and Eric Brown are also ranked. Jonny Marshall and Aiden Norman represent Florida in the back rankings, while Aleksas Savickas, Nil Cadevall and Jordan Willis appear in the breast rankings.
On the women's side, Anita Bottazzo, ranks No. 1 in the conference in both the 100 and 200 breast. Molly Mayne, Grace Rainey and Sofia Plaza also appear in the breast rankings as well. The Gators' distance groups are highlighted by Julie Brousseau (3rd 500 free, 6th 1650 free, 5th 400 IM), Michaela Mattes (3rd 1650 free, 9th 500 free), Lainy Kruger and Camille DeBoer. Beatriz Bezerra and Sylvia Statkevicius represent the Gators in the sprint events . Florida's back is led by Catie Choate (1st 200 back, 3rd 100 back), JoJo Ramey, Aspen Gersper and Zoe Dixon. Grace Rabb, Addison Reese and Sofia Plaza also appear in the rankings, with Rabb listed six events.
