
No. 10 Florida Faces Stetson in Midweek In-State Matchup

DELAND, Fla. – The No. 10 Florida Lacrosse team (2-1) will travel to DeLand, Fla. to face off against the Stetson Hatters (0-2) on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
The Gators go into the matchup off a 14-13 neutral site win over No. 7/8 Clemson. The Orange and Blue were led by Clark Hamilton with four goals and two assists, as Gabby Greene added two goals and two assists and Frannie Hahn added three goals and an assist. Stetson will be Florida's first game against a non-ranked opponent after facing three straight ranked teams to start the season.
Outlook on the Hatters
The Hatter are coming of a 25-4 loss to South Florida on Feb. 18. The Hatters are led on offense by Lexi Bird, who leads the team with goals (2), assists (2), points (4), and co-leads in shots (6). On defense, Stetson is led by Heidi Cross with four ground balls and once caused turnover. In goal, Stetson relies on the tandem of Maddie Eckert and Harper Hodgett. Eckert has player 64:16 minutes and leads in saves with 13 goals allowed with 17. Hodgett has played 55:44 minutes and has made 12 saves and given up 22 goals on the season.

Florida's defense through three games has not given up more than five goals in the second half this season. The stout defense has helped the Gators outscore their opponents 16-11 in the second half.

Through the first three game Clark Hamilton is averaging 4.667 goals per game, 2 assists per game, and 6.67 points per game.
This scoring pace is quicker than what she had through the first three games of 2025 and more than her final golas per game (2.39), assists per game (0.65), and points per game (3.04) from 2025.
Crystal Clear
Florid is 49-for-49 on clears through their two games on the season. They are the only team in the nation to still be perfect on clears on the season and this is the longest the Gators have gone without failing a clear to start a season.
