No. 5 Gators Take on Jacksonville in Final Non-Conference Game of the Season

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The No. 5/5 Florida Gators Lacrosse team (11-2) takes on in-state foe Jacksonville (9-4) on Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Donald R. Dizney Stadium in their final non-conference game of the season.
The Gators grabbed a 18-6 win over Big 12 foe SDSU. Kaitlyn Davies led all goal scorers with four goals as Frannie Hahn registered 6 points (2 G/4 A) and Clark Hamilton registered five points on the day (3 G/2 A).
Scouting the Dolphins
The Dolphins enter this game off a 21-5 win over Austin Peay, where they were led by Maeve Brennan with five points (4 G/1 A) as Allyx Berry and Jessica GIller each put up one goal and three assist
On offense, JU is led by Maeve Brennan, who leads the team in points (57), goals (37), and is second in assists (20). Jessica Giller leads the Dolphins in assists with 21. The Jacksonville defense is led by Courtney Quirk who leads the team in ground balls (22) and caused turnovers (21). In cage, JU turns to Brookelynn Hodgin who has 53 saves on the season
JU is led by Tara Singleton, who is her fourth year as a head coach, all with Jacksonville. During her tenure they have won more than 10 games twice, and are one win away from doing again this season
On the season Jacksonville has only won one game where they've given up more than 10 goals (15-13 vs Marquette), and their two losses in their last seven games, they have given up at least ten goals in both.

Florida Head Coach Amanda O'Leary current sit alongside Chris Sailer at third place on the all-time wins for NCAA Division I Women's Lacrosse standings with 433 wins. With a win on against Jacksonville, O'Leary will take sole possession of third on that list, behind Navy Head Coach Cindy Timchal (606 wins), and UNC Head Coach Jenny Levy (455 wins).
