GAINESVILLE, Fla. – As No. 3 seed Florida gymnastics prepares to take the national stage at the NCAA Championships semifinals in Fort Worth, Texas, later this afternoon, the Gators are already celebrating excellence beyond competition.
Thirteen Florida gymnasts were named to the 2026 Southeastern Conference Winter Academic Honor Roll, the league announced today.
The recognition comes on the heels of a standout season for Florida, which captured the 2026 SEC Championship team title. It also marks the sixth time in the last seven seasons that every eligible Gator gymnast earned academic honor roll distinction.
To qualify, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore or have completed a full academic year at their institution.
The 2026 SEC Winter Academic Honor Roll is based on grades from the 2025 Spring, Summer and Fall terms.
To be recognized to the SEC Academic Honor Roll, each student-athlete must 1) have a GPA of 3.00 for either the preceding academic year or have a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or above at the nominating institution; 2) be on scholarship, a letterwinner or have participated on a varsity team for two years if non-scholarship; 3) have completed 24 semester hours of non-remedial credit at the nominating institution; and 4) have been a member of the varsity team for the sport's entire NCAA Championship segment.
More academic accolades for Gators gymnastics are expected when the SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll is released in the summer.
