GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Florida Head Women's Basketball Coach Tammi Reiss recently announced the hiring of Kelly Peter as the program's assistant chief of staff. In that role, the 2026 Rhode Island graduate will help manage the behind-the-scenes operations for the Gators.
Peter was the head student manager at Rhode Island from 2022-26, helping the Rams to a pair of Atlantic 10 regular season championships, one A-10 tournament title, and the program's first NCAA Tournament appearance in 30 years.
"I am so excited to have Kelly join our Gators' Women's Basketball family," said Reiss. "Kelly was a four-year head manager for me at Rhode Island and knows our culture and how we run our program. She is a hard worker, problem solver, and team player who values building relationships. I am so excited to watch her grow in her new role as assistant chief of staff."
In addition to her role as a student manager at Rhode Island, Peter also served as an intern in the media relations department during her junior and senior seasons. She received her BA in marketing from Rhode Island in May of 2026.
