Valby Earns Bronze, Bryant Fourth on Final Day of USATF Outdoor Championships

Parker Valby and Claire Bryant earned top-five finishes on the final day of the USATF Outdoor Championships.
NEW YORK – The Florida alumni duo of Parker Valby and Claire Bryant earned a pair of top-five finishes on the final day of the USA Track & Field Outdoor Championships on Sunday evening.
Making her first appearance at the USATF Outdoor Championships, Parker Valby established herself as the leader early in the women's 5000-meter run. The Florida distance legend battled within the lead pack over the final 600 meters before crossing the line third in 15:06.25 to take bronze inside Icahn Stadium.
In the long jump pit, Bryant, currently ranked eighth in the world in the event, qualified for finals on her final attempt of the opening round with a mark of 6.54m/21-5.50 (-1.3). The eight-time All-American and 2025 World Indoor champion then saved her best for last, closing with a leap of 6.77m/22-2.50 (-0.7) to take fourth.
The Florida contingent closed out the championships with four top-five finishes and two medals overall, as Malcolm Clemons opened the meet with a silver in the men's long jump on day one.
