Florida Men's Tennis Places Six in ITA Preseason Rankings

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released its national preseason singles, doubles and newcomer rankings Tuesday afternoon with six Florida Gators earning recognition.
Senior Henry Jefferson leads the Gators in the singles rankings at No. 39. Jefferson posted a 22-18 overall record last season and concluded the spring ranked at No. 73 nationally after beginning the year at No. 115. During his fall campaign, Jefferson totaled a 7-4 singles record and went 1-1 at the ITA Southeast RegionalChampionships.
Jeremy Jin also earned a spot in the singles rankings, checking in at No. 114. Last fall, Jin tallied a 6-4 record in singles and captured the ITA Conference Masters Championship to secure an NCAA Singles Championship bid. He finished the season overall with a 12-9 singles record.
Newcomer Alaa Trifi earned recognition in both the singles and newcomer rankings, coming in at No. 118 in singles and No. 17 among newcomers. The Tunisia native, currently ranking No. 831 in the ATP rankings, arrives in Florida with two singles titles, six doubles titles, and has competed in multiple Monastir tournaments.
In doubles, Jefferson and Ty Host were ranked together at No. 41 nationally. Jefferson posted a 22-15 record last season, primarily alongside teammate Tanapatt Nirundorn. The pair advanced to the semifinals of the NCAA Doubles Championship last fall, earning All-America honors.
Also representing Florida in the doubles rankings are Kevin Edengren and Andreas Timini at No. 64. The duo went 2-0 against Top 50 opponents during the 2025-26 campaign. Edengren compiled a 14-9 doubles record in dual match play last season, while Timini recorded a 6-1 doubles mark during the fall season.
