NATIONAL/INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION:
  • Participated in the 2017 US Open Swimming Championships in August, swimming in the 100m and 200m breast
  • He set the current Florida record for the 100m breast, swimming a 1:01.52 in a swim-off for the A final
  • The previous record had stood since the 2014 season
  • He finishd sixth in the preliminary round of the 200m breaststroke, posting a time of 2:15.69
  • Competed at the 2017 Phillips 66 National Championships, racing in the 50m, 100m and 200m breaststrokes
  • Made the B Final in each one of those races, with his best finish coming in the 200m breast, where he finished 3rd in the final and 11th overall with a time of 2:12.97
  • Recorded a time of 1:02.02 in the B Final of the 100m breast, good for fourth in the final and 12th place overall
  • Lastly, he posted a time of 28.36 in the B Final of the 50m breast, good for sixth in the final
  • Participated in the 2016 United States Olympic Trials, finishing 23rd in the 200m breast with a time of 2:16.11
  • Also raced in the 100m breast, finishing in 72nd with a mark of 1:03.35.
