HIGH SCHOOL: Infielder/right-handed pitcher from Miami Killian High School who played for head coach Angel Herrera…Named to the Class 8A All-State Team after batting .418 as a senior, with 25 runs, 23 RBI, 19 walks, nine doubles and four homers...Was 2-0 on the mound with four saves and a 1.05 earned run average…Recognized as the Class 8A-16 Player of the Year, was first-team all-county, made the Class 8A-16 All-District Team and was picked for the 2015 Senior All-Star Public Team…Went 3-for-4 with a homer and double and four RBI during a walk-off victory over Coral Gables during Regionals…Participated in the 2015 Florida Athletic Coaches Association All-Star Game... Chosen as the Cougars’ Most Valuable Player and as the squad’s Offensive Player of the Year…Ranked as the No. 16 second baseman in the state of Florida in the Class of 2015 Final Rankings from Perfect Game…Was named to Rawlings/Perfect Game Preseason Florida All-Region Honorable Mention Team prior to his senior year…Was a 2014 Perfect Game Underclass Honorable Mention All-American, as well as second-team all-county and a member of the Class 8A-16 All-District Team during his junior season…Batted .302 that year, with nine doubles and three round-trippers.
