AS A JUNIOR (2016): Appeared in 66 games this season, starting each of those 66 contests…Hit .262 (67-256) with 32 RBI and 57 runs scored as the Gators’ primary center fielder…20 of his 67 hits went for extra bases, including 10 doubles, 6 triples (which led the team and ranked third in the SEC), and 4 home runs…Had a slugging percentage of .395…Walked 39 times to go along with 62 strikeouts, which were the second-most and the most on the team respectively…His propensity to take a walk contributed to his OBP of .362…Led the Gators and tied for fifth in the SEC with 24 stolen bases while only being caught three times…Hit .245 (26-109) in SEC play with 17 RBI and 22 runs scored, which led the team…Recorded two separate streaks of reaching base for 10 games in a row…Had a team-long hitting streak of 10 games from 2/26 to 3/9…Smacked a walk-off solo home run in the bottom of the twelfth inning against Dartmouth on 3/5…Did not commit an error until the SEC Tournament and finished the season with just 2, giving him a fielding percentage of .984…Named to the SEC All-Defensive Team…Hit .242 (7-29) in the NCAA Tournament with an OBP of .353…His 11 career triples place him fourth all time in UF history...Chosen with the 48th overall pick in the 2nd round of the MLB draft by the San Diego Padres, one pick after teammate Logan Shore.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2015): Started 69 of the Gators’ 70 contests in center field and responded with career highs across the board in batting average (.305), hits (86), runs (51), RBI (47), stolen bases (18), doubles (14), triples (5) and homers (4)…His 13-game hitting streak between March 4-27 was the longest by a UF player last year and he ranked third on the club in batting average behind All-Americans Josh Tobias (.355) and JJ Schwarz (.332)…Chipped in with 24 multiple-hit games and 11 multiple-RBI games…Became the first Gator to be named to the SEC’s All-Defensive Team since shortstop Nolan Fontana and catcher Mike Zunino collected the honor in 2012…He joins Matt den Dekker (2008-10) as the only outfielders in school history to receive the honor…Hit .319 in SEC play, with 19 runs, 17 RBI and nine walks and delivered team highs in stolen bases (6) and triples (4)…Among the team leaders with a .297 clip in 15 postseason outings…Tied his career best of three RBI as the Gators eliminated Miami (FL) from the NCAA College World Series…Belted a two-run homer in the first inning, had a bunt RBI single in the fifth inning and also scored twice in the victory…Had debuted in Omaha by going 2-for-4 with a couple of runs and an RBI single in the Gators’ 15-3 victory over the Hurricanes…Was 2-for-4 with a run, a stolen base and a walk as UF claimed Game 1 of the NCAA Gainesville Super Regional with a 13-5 triumph over No. 10 Florida State…Chosen All-Tournament at the NCAA Gainesville Regional after batting .308 (4-for-13) over the three games...Cranked a two-run blast in the third inning to jump-start the offense against USF…Reed came through with a .409 (9-for-22) average in Florida’s five games in Hoover and earned All-SEC Tournament accolades…Was 3-for-4 and scored twice as the Orange and Blue brought home the event’s crown over No. 9 Vanderbilt…Went a perfect 3-for-3 in the shutout of Arkansas…Keyed the Gators’ series-clinching win at No. 8 Vanderbilt by going 3-for-5 with three RBI and two runs…Had started the scoring with a three-run jack to left field in the opening frame…With Florida trailing by a run in the ninth of the finale, Reed stroked a two-out single up the middle and came home with the tying run on a base-hit by Schwarz…Set a career high in game two with the Commodores by drawing four walks…Was 4-for-10 (.400) in the series triumph at Georgia, including a two-run single to break the ice on Sunday…Helped the Gators to victory over Bethune-Cookman with a run-scoring triple in the sixth inning of a scoreless contest…Hit a sizzling .417 (5-for-12) in the sweep of No. 21 South Carolina, with four RBI, four runs, two doubles and two thefts…Started the set with the Gamecocks by going 3-for-5…Scored a career-high four runs and was 3-for-5 with a double in the home win against Stetson…Among the team leaders with a .455 (5-for-13) performance at Missouri, with a couple of 2-for-4 efforts…Snapped a 4-4 tie with a two-run, bases-loaded single in the eighth inning to claim the rubber game at McKethan Stadium versus Alabama…Opened the SEC schedule by hitting .400 (4-for-10) against Tennessee and drove in a team-best four runs, three coming on a triple with the bases full in the finale…Was 3-for-6 with a pair of two-baggers and scored twice in the mid-week victory over Florida Atlantic…Named as the Co-SEC Player of the Week with LSU senior catcher Kade Scivicque for the first time in his career after hitting .444 (8-for-18) as the Gators captured three of four contests, including a series triumph over No. 8 Miami…Led Florida to the series victory over No. 8 Miami by going 5-for-12 (.417), with at least one hit in each game…Tied Sunday’s rubber match versus the Hurricanes with a two-out RBI single to right field in the third inning…Delivered a walk-off single in the ninth inning to score Josh Tobias with the winning run in UF’s 4-3 triumph on Friday night…Finished the opener 3-for-5 with two stolen bases and also scored on Mike Rivera’s game-tying two-run single in the sixth inning…Earned an outfield assist as the Gators had cut down the potential tying run in the eighth inning.
AS A FRESHMAN (2014): Played in 60 games during his first collegiate season, with a total of 51 starts: 24 in left field, 19 in center field and eight in right field…Batted .244 with 26 runs, 18 walks, seven doubles and six RBI…Established a single-season school record with 14 sacrifice hits and was 5-for-10 on the basepaths…Had a .284 clip and scored 13 runs in 28 SEC contests, including 21 starts…Also drew seven walks, totaled five doubles, drove in four runs and was a perfect 3-for-3 in stolen-base opportunities in league play…Was 1-for-4 and scored a run in the NCAA Gainesville Regional against North Carolina…Chipped in with a single and had a theft in the opening round versus the College of Charleston…Drew a leadoff walk and come home during the third inning of the second SEC Tournament meeting with Kentucky…Went 2-for-4 with a double as the Gators clinched the SEC Championship with their second win at Tennessee…Led the Orange and Blue with a .444 (4-for-9) average in the series with No. 10 Vanderbilt, highlighted by a 3-for-4 outing in the finale…Scored twice in the first win over No. 20 Alabama…Was 2-for-3 with a pair of runs in the 5-0 shutout of Missouri…Collected two hits and doubled in the triumph at FGCU…Came through with a 3-for-3 effort in the finale at No. 4 South Carolina and provided the Gators with the decisive run on a one-out RBI single in the eighth inning…Started the series at Texas A&M by going 2-for-5…Had at least one hit in every game of the Arkansas set…Posted first multiple-hit game as a Gator with a 2-for-4, two-run showing in the second meeting with UConn and also swiped his first base…Drew a walk in the first five games of the year…Punched a two-run single in the eighth inning of the second matchup with Maryland for his first collegiate hit and RBI…Became just the third rookie from UF since 2001 to debut in center field, joining Ben Harrison (2001) and Josh Adams (2008)…Scored a run on opening night with heads-up base-running after a walk.
SUMMER: Member of the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team last summer, along with Gator teammates A.J. Puk, JJ Schwarz and Logan Shore…Ranked as the No. 3 prospect on Team USA by both Baseball America and Perfect Game…Played in 12 games for Team USA, hitting .326 with15 hits, and a team-leading 12 RBI, eight runs and three doubles…Also added four steals…Hit .385 with runners on base and .381 with runners in scoring position…Was 3-for-4 with three steals in his first game of the summer after the extended Florida run through the NCAA College World Series on June 24…Had hits in his first seven games, collecting 11 RBI in that span…Totaled four RBI, with a pair of doubles and steal, in a win over Chinese Taipei on June 28…Went 3-for-6 versus Cuba in a packed stadium in Charlotte on July 4, scoring three runs…Made all 12 starts in centerfield, hitting No. 1 (four times) and No. 2 (eight times) in the order…Played for the Kenosha (Wis.) HIGH SCHOOL: Outfielder from St. George’s School in Middletown, R.I., who played for head coach Ed McGinnis…Selected in the 35th round of the 2013 Major League Baseball Draft by the Texas Rangers with the 1,060th pick…Was named to Rawlings/Perfect Game Preseason Atlantic All-Region First Team prior to his senior year…Ranked No. 7 in the state of Maryland and the No. 2 outfielder in the Class of 2013 Final Rankings from Perfect Game…Earned a total of nine varsity letters in soccer, hockey and baseball…Was the leading scorer on the soccer team and played on the Dragons’ top line on the ice…Named to the 2012 Perfect Game 17-U BCS All-Tournament Team while playing for the Tampa Bay Warriors at Terry Park in Fort Myers, Fla…Batted .360 at the event, with a slugging percentage of .560 and an on-base percentage of .407…Also named All-Tournament at the 2012 WWBA 17-U National Championship that was held at the East Cobb Complex in Marietta, Ga…Went 11-for-22 (.500) with a .682 slugging percentage and a .577 on-base clip…Tied for the top outfield arm at the 2012 Sunshine Northeast Showcase.
