HIGH SCHOOL: Right-handed pitcher from College Station High School who played for head coach Scott Holder…The Cougars won the District 18-5A Championship last spring…Struck out 12 batters in seven innings during the prestigious National High School Invitational in Cary, N.C. (2 H, 1 R, 3 BB)…Ranked No. 28 in the state of Texas, No. 16 among right-handers in the Class of 2015 Final Rankings from Perfect Game…Was named a Rawlings/Perfect Game Honorable Mention All-American and to the Texas All-Region First Team prior to his senior year…College Station captured the Class 3A state title in 2014 in its second year as a program with a 35-6 record, as Hines was 10-2, registered 84 strikeouts and compiled a 1.27 earned run average…Named to the Class 3A All-Tournament Team as the starting pitcher…The righty collected second-team Class 3A All-State recognition, was first-team All-District 18-3A and earned first-team All-Brazos Valley…Hines was Honorable Mention Class 3A All-State during his sophomore season.
