STORYLINE: Coleman returns for his senior season after battling back from several injuries in his UF career. A three-time SEC Academic honor roll selection, Coleman is working to become just the third player in UF history to earn four straight SEC honor roll distinctions. Last year he contributed in long relief.
2001: Selected to All SEC Academic Honor Roll...Made five appearances on season after recovering from elbow injury suffered in 2000...Pitched 3.0 innings at Georgia, 4/13...Struck out two batters in 2.0 inning appearance vs. Maine, 3/21...Threw career-high 3.2 innings, allowed four hits, three runs and struck out one vs. Tennessee, 3/11...Made first appearance on season and first in 58 games due to injury vs. Fordham, 3/3...Threw 2.1 innings and struck out two batters vs. Central Michigan.
2000: SEC Academic Honor Roll selection...Saw action in one game on the season...Pitched three innings, allowed three hits and no earned runs vs. Ole Miss, 4/1.
1999: SEC Academic Honor Roll selection...Six appearances with two starts on season...Finished 1-0 record with a 2.38 ERA...Pitched five innings in relief while allowing one run on six hits (1.80 ERA)...Held lowest ERA on the squad...Allowed only two extra base hits...Did not allow a run in three of four appearances out of the bullpen...Earned win in first career start, pitching a career-high six innings against Fordham with just one run allowed on five hits and six strikeouts...Made first career appearance at then-No. 1 Florida State, allowing one hit with a walk and strikeout in 0.2 innings.

PREP: A 1997 graduate of Lassiter High School where he was coached by Mickey McMurtry...Three-year letterwinner...Named squad's Most Valuable Pitcher in both 1996 and 1997...Recorded a 9-1 record with a 2.53 ERA in 13 starts as a senior...Selected all-city and all-county in 1997...Defeated Miami's Westminster Christian, ending their 59-game winning streak with a complete game 7-4 victory...Posted a 6-1 record and 2.10 ERA as a junior...Opponents hit just .192 against him, striking out 42 times over 36.2 innings...Attended Tampa Gaither High School for one season before moving to Marietta prior to sophomore season.
