STORYLINE: Entering his senior season, Davidson has started 66 games in his Florida career, sporting a .313 average, 18 doubles, six home runs, 49 RBI and 40 stolen bases. A good hitter with speed, Davidson started 35 games last season at designated hitter.
2001: Started 57 games (35 at DH, 13 in LF, 9 at 2B)...Hit .319 and ranked third in the SEC in stolen bases with 30...Led Gators in doubles with 16 and ranked second on squad with 23 multi-hit games, six home runs and 30 stolen bases on year...Became eighth player in UF history to steal 30+ bases in a season...Teamed with Kevin Estrada to become the first ever duo at Florida to steal 30+ bases in the same season... 2000: Earned medical redshirt after suffering through right shoulder injury...Saw action in 10 games with nine starts before reinjuring right shoulder sliding back to third base vs. Louisville, 3/7 and missed the remainder of the season...Hit .265 with 10 RBI before injury...Led the team with 10 stolen bases in 10 attempts...Had a season-high two hits in final game...Went 1-1 with four walks, three RBI and three stolen bases in first career start vs. Florida A&M, 2/22... Missed the first eight games of season due to recovery from right shoulder surgery in the fall.

1998-99 AT CUESTA COLLEGE: Played two years at Cuesta Junior College in San Luis Obispo, Calif. where he was coached by Larry Lee...Named Southern California Player of the Year...Earned Western State Conference MVP award...First Team All-State and All-Conference...Hit .433 with 23 home runs, 21 doubles and 79 RBI...Scored 85 runs and stole 59 bases in 49 games...Belted two home runs, including a grand slam, as part of 6-for-6 effort with eight RBI against Bakersfield College.
PREP: A 1997 graduate of Atascadero High School where he lettered four years in baseball and was coached by Jim Greenman...Hit .507 with four home runs, five doubles and 19 RBI during his senior season...Named First Team All-CIF, All-League, All-County and team MVP.
