PRIOR TO FLORIDA:
Gould played organized football for the first time during his junior year of high school, joining the team as a punter... During his 2014-15 senior year, Gould was named First Team, All County (Howard County, Md.) and Honorable Mention, All-State (Maryland) as a punter... In addition, he was the team’s kicker, a member of the National Honor Society and a Zaching Against Cancer Foundation scholarship recipient... That scholarship is awarded to those students who have overcome adversity as a cancer survivor.
- FloridaGators.com feature writer, Scott Carter, sat down with Jon and both of his parents to discuss his amazing story. Gould was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma when he was 10 years old. He underwent a year of chemo and radiation therapy at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.
- Gould is an animal science major who volunteers two days a week at the University of Florida’s Small Animal Hospital and he plans to become a veterinarian upon graduation.
