• Finished his career at Florida’s Last Chance Meet, swimming season-best times in the 500 free (4:35.09) and 1650 free (15:53.67)

• Posted career-best times in the 200 free (1:41.79) and 1650 free (15:35.19) at the Last Chance Meet to end his season

• Participated in six regular-season meets, including three SEC dual meets against Georgia, South Carolina, and Auburn
• Opened the season on a high note, clocking a season-best time in the 200 Free (1:46.53) at the All Florida Invitational
• Qualified and raced in the 400 IM ‘C’ final with a season-best 4:06.63 at the Buckeye Invite
• Also competed in the ‘B’ final and swam a season-best 1:56.39 in the 200 Fly at the Buckeye Invitational
• Capped his season with a pair of career-best times at the Bulldog Invitational (Last Chance Meet) after clocking top times in the 500 Free (4:28.02) and 1,650 Free (15:40.34)

• Ended his season by clocking career-best times in four events (500 Free, 1,650 Free, 200 Fly, 400 IM) at Florida’s Last Chance Meet
• Clocked a career-best mark in the 1,000-yard freestyle in the Gators dual meet at Florida State with a time of 9:35.40
• Competed in the 200-yard butterfly (1:56.59) and 400-yard individual medley (4:12.88) in a dual meet against Minnesota
• Made his UF debut in at the Pinch A Penny All Florida Invitational where he competed in multiple events and recorded his best finish in the 400-yard freestyle prelims, as he placed 18th in 4:20.86

• Redshirted

• Competed in the 2017 Speedo Southern Zone Long Course Sectional Championships, where he placed fifth in the 1500m Free, posting a time of 16:27.36.

• Coached in high school by Jason Mauss
• National AP Scholar and Houston Gator Club and Office of Admissions Alumni Scholarship award winner
• Trained with the Houston Cougar Aquatic Sports and the Gator Swim Club under Greg Orphanides and Jamie Lewis
• Father, Jim, played tennis at Michigan Tech University and brother, Brian, swam at Michigan State
• Chose Florida because it was his dream school
