High School: Was the first area high school player to collect a softball scholarship at UF ... batted better than .537 her entire four years at Union County High School with an individual season-high of .683 her senior season ... stole more than 22 bases each year in high school and finished with an individual season-best 30 as a senior ... was a catcher at Union County and played shortstop in summer league before coming to UF ... also lettered in basketball and volleyball ... as a basketball player, was named team MVP three times, 1998 Defensive Player of the Year, 1998 AAA Player of the Year and All-Area Player, and Suwannee Conference MVP ... also named Best Defensive and Offensive Player ... member of the All-State Team ... led her squad in free throws and once scored 44 points in a game ... was a Scholar-Athlete ... received the school Science Award ... graduated with honors ... a member of Students Against Drunk Driving and Fellowship Christian Athletes.
