REDSHIRT SENIOR YEAR (2015-16)

• Coach Butler called her the Gator’s, “heart and soul of team” and its leader
• Played in 30 of 31 games (missed one due to a concussion)
• Five three-pointers vs. Kentucky in the SEC Tournament quarterfinals (March 4) tied the Gator record in an SEC Tournament game (Cassie Peoples-2014; Depree Bowden-2008)
• Fourth Gator in program history to net 200 career three-pointers – milestone trey came at LSU (Feb. 25)
• Left LSU (Feb. 25) game 21 seconds into second half after colliding heads and did not return; played 17 minutes and did not play in regular-season finale (Feb. 28 vs. Auburn) as a result
• Her assist on Simone Westbrook’s three-pointer at the 8:24 mark of the first quarter during the win vs. Vanderbilt (Feb. 18), was her 200th career assist
• In the upset win against No. 12 Kentucky (Jan. 31), was involved in tying up the ball with six seconds remaining that helped run valuable time off the clock when the Gators were leading by three and the Wildcats were setting up their final possession to try and tie the game.

• Drew strong praises from her coaches for her leadership in the days leading up to and during the road game against No. 12/11 Tennessee (Jan. 7), as Head Coach Amanda Butler was away from the team due to a family emergency.
• Scored all of her 15 points against the Lady Vols from the three-point arc, where she hit 5-of-8, while also recording four rebounds and three assists.
• With the Gators holding a four-point lead in Knoxville, Needles drilled her fifth three-pointer of the game that gave UF a 69-62 lead with 3:16 to go.
• Her three-pointer in the third quarter against UT ignited a 7-0 run over a 50-second span late in the period and took a 50-49 lead with 1:39 remaining and eventually tied the game entering the final frame.
• Scored all of her 11 points (FIRST HALF: 4-4 FG, 1-1 3PT, 2-2 FT) at Ole Miss (Jan. 10) during the first half, when she helped Florida build a commanding 53-30 halftime lead.
• Instrumental during UF’s game-changing 27-4 run in the first quarter versus the Rebels, when she scored seven points
• did not start vs. Mississippi State (Jan. 3) due to back injury in prior game, but responded with season and team-high 17 points
• had started 25 consecutive games, as well as in 47 straight games she had played

• Played in her home state for the first time in her collegiate career, when UF faced Ball State on November 27 at the Omni Hotels Classic in Boulder, Colorado (two-game tournament totaled 19 points, 7 assists, 7 steals)
• Against the Ball State, scored the first points of the game – a three-pointer – and finished with 13 points, her first double-figure scoring game of the season. Also had a key steal late in the seven-point comeback and drew two defensive charges.
• With her first three-pointer against Savannah State (Nov. 24), moved into sole possession of No. 5 all-time at UF for treys (162)
• Her family entertained the entire 31-person Gator travel party for an amazing Thanksgiving dinner on Wed., Nov. 25, when the team was in Colorado for the Omni Hotels Classic in Boulder
• Successfully converted during the Savannah State win (Nov. 24) all three free throw after being fouled attempting a three-pointer (perfect 9-9 in career THREE three-point-play free throws)

• Had scored in 33 consecutive games she played before missing all five attempts at Texas A&M (Feb. 22)
• Against Georgia (February 12), finished with 10 points; corralled a missed Georgia shot and found Peoples, who calmly stuck from deep with 75 seconds left that gave the Gators their first lead since the opening bucket of the game en route to UF’s first win against No. 24 Georgia in Athens since 2004

REDSHIRT-SOPHOMORE YEAR (2013-14):

• Started 18 games, including the final seven
• 45 of her 50 three-pointers this year came in last 26 games (45-111, 40.5%); in first seven games, went 5-30 (16.7%) from deep
• In UF’s two NCAA games averaged 12.0 points and converted 7-18 (38.9%) three-point attempts
• Tallied 13 points at Penn State in the NCAA second round (4-11 three-pointers)
• Scored all of her 11 points during the NCAA first round win vs. Dayton in the final 7:46 of the game; 3-7 three-pointers
• In the SEC QF thriller vs. Kentucky (March 7), fouled out of a game for the first time in her career; 3 points, 2 assists in 22 minutes
• Calmly converted all four free throw attempts with 24 seconds remaining - including the final two with four ticks left that sealed the five-point win at Vanderbilt (Feb. 27)
• Her three-pointer with 8:23 remaining in the first half at Vanderbilt (Feb. 27) was the 100th career trey; became 12th Gator with as many in a career
• Scored her 400th career point during the game at South Carolina (Feb. 23)
• Led Gators in scoring for first time this year with 16 points (5-7 3PT) vs. Alabama (Jan. 30)
• Scored an SEC-game career-high 17 points at LSU (Jan. 12); knocked down season-high 5-8 three-pointers
• Back-to-back career-high-tying games with 3 steals: vs. Mississippi State (Jan. 2) and vs. Georgetown (Dec. 28)
• Tied her career-high of 5 rebounds in the win vs. Tennessee State (Dec. 20)

• Her 63 three-pointers marked the 11th-most in a season in program history; her 3-point percentage (34.1 pct) was the ninth-highest in a season in program history
• Set UF freshman record for three-pointers made and three-pointers attempted a in a season and ranked No. 4 for minutes played by a freshman
• During the five-point WNIT quarterfinal win at James Madison (March 30), scored eight points that included a three-pointer with 2:32 remaining that gave Florida a 76-75 lead
• In the two-point WNIT round of 16 win at Charlotte (March 27), drilled a three-pointer with 9:04 remaining and tied the game at 51
• Dished a team-high-tying four assists in the WNIT second round win at Winthrop (March 25)
• In her postseason debut coolly converted the front end of a one-and-one with 3:08 remaining and gave UF a 66-62 lead at FIU (March 21)
• Scored 12 points in the SEC Tournament Quarterfinal loss to Tennessee (March 8), her first double-figure scoring game since the Jan. 11 meeting against Tennessee
• Knocked down a pair of three-pointers en route to eight points in her SEC Tournament debut - a win against Arkansas (March 8)
• Drew a big charge with four minutes to go in the first half at Auburn (Feb. 10), as UF was in the process of cutting a nine-point deficit to a tied game at halftime
• Dished a game and career-high eight assists in the win versus Alabama (Feb. 3)
• Sank 2-of-4 free throws in the final 51 seconds to help seal the six-point road win at Mississippi State (Jan. 10)
• Knocked down 3-of-4 free throws during a 13-second span with in the waning seconds of the six-point win against Central Michigan (Dec. 21) and gave UF an 81-72 lead with 10 seconds remaining
• In UF’s first road win of the year (at La Salle, Dec. 16), added 12 points, all off of a 4-of-7 three-point effort, along with a career-best four assists and tied a season-high two steals
• Shared team-high scoring honors in the win against Troy (Dec. 4), contributing 18 points on 4-of-6 shooting, including 3-of-5 three-pointers and 7-of-7 from the free throw line
• Named to the South Point Thanksgiving Shootout All-Tournament Team in Las Vegas after hitting a game-winning three in one game and leading the Gators in scoring in another)
• Started the second-half of the game against Arizona State (Nov. 25)
• Hit the game-winning three-pointer with six seconds remaining against N.C. State that gave UF a 65-64 lead en route to the 66-64 win
• Etched her name in the Gator record book when she hit a program-record nine three-pointers versus North Florida (Nov. 19), breaking the 20-year-old record of eight treys set by Bridget Pettis against Georgia on Jan. 20, 1993; her nine three-pointers ranked tied-for-second in SEC history, as she became only the fifth player in conference history to sink at least nine in a game
• Career-high 27 points against UNF all came off three-pointers (9-17), when she also had two assists and drew a charge
• First career points came from beyond the arc, as she nailed a three-pointer from the right side with 12:43 remaining in the first half of the season-opening win against Fairfield (Nov. 9)

FRESHMAN YEAR (2011-12):

• Received a medical-redshirt for the season because of a knee injury
• Did not play in any games
• Visited the state of New York for the first time ever when she accompanied the team to the Courtyard LaGuardia Turkey Classic hosted by Long Island University, Nov. 25-26

HIGH SCHOOL:

• Graduated from ThunderRidge High School in May of 2011
• A four-year starter for the Grizzlies, Needles helped TRHS to the 2009 and 2010 state ‘final four,’ including a No. 19 ranking nationally
• Finished stellar prep career as school’s second all-time leading scorer with 1,809 points (behind only Abby Waner’s 2,670 career -point total, 2001-05); career point total ranks ninth in Colorado girls HS history
• Holds school career record for most free throws made (476, ranks No. 2 in state history) and attempted (601; fifth in state history); owns school’s season record for made free throws (180) during her senior year
• Her eight three-pointers against Littleton HS on Feb. 17, 2011, set the school’s single-game mark, while the 18 assists she dished on Dec. 12, 2008 versus Fruita Monument HS is the school’s and state of Colorado’s standard
• Ranked fourth in school history for career assists (482) and steals (333)
• One of only two seniors at TRHS in 2011, Needles helped the team to a 22-5 overall record, as she led the squad with 706 points (26.1 ppg – led all 5A players in scoring), 113 steals (4.2 spg), 109 assists (4.0 apg, ranked third in state) and 180 free throws made and 228 attempted, along with 65 rebounds (2.4 rpg) while hitting 78 percent from the free throw line, 55 percent from the floor overall
• Averaged 14.1 points, 4.2 assists, 2.9 steals and 1.5 rebounds as a junior
• Selected for, played and was named MVP of the 2010 and 2011 “The Show” high school all-star games, which included the top prep talent in the state of Colorado; all-star games held at the Pepsi Center, home of the NBA’s Denver Nuggets and the 2012 NCAA Women’s Final Four, Needles led her to victory both years; in 2010 she converted the game-winning free throws and hit the 5-of-6 from beyond the arc; in 2011 led her team to a 62-53 win, scoring 12 of her 14 points in the second half
• Runner-up for 2011 State Player of the Year
• Named to the five-player 2011 All-Colorado Basketball Team selected by the Denver Post
• Awarded 2011 First Team Class 5A All-State honors after being a three-time All-State honorable mention awardee
• First Team All-League each of her four years
• Played for one of Colorado’s top club teams, the Hoopsters, as well as for Cal Storm Team Taurasi, which is sponsored by WNBA All-Star and two-time U.S. Olympian Diana Taurasi
