AS A SENIOR (1990) – Tore left Achilles tendon at Jan. 4, 1990 practice…underwent reconstructive surgery on Jan. 8…sat out 1990 season recovering from surgery…named to Southeastern Conference Academic Honor Roll…recipient of 1990 SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
AS A JUNIOR (1989) – Ranked consistently among the nation’s top 20 in the all-around and uneven bars during the ’89 campaign…named to the GTE Academic All-America second-team and earned a spot on the Academic All-SEC Honor Roll…earned All-SEC honors for the third consecutive year by placing sixth in the SEC Championships all-around with a score of 38.00…took second in the uneven bars (9.70) and tied for third in the vault (9.50) at the SEC meet…runner-up in the uneven bars at the NCAA Southeast Regionals, matching her season-best mark of 9.80…took third in regional beam competition (9.70)…placed among the top three all-arounders in six meets…posted career-best all-around score of 38.80 to win the Penn State meet title…scored a season-high 9.80 for the uneven bars at the Penn State meet to take top honors in that event…earned a career-best 9.75 for the balance beam at the Penn State meet to take third…tied for top honors for the vault (9.60) at the Arizona State/Oregon State meet…took second in the Georgia dual bars competition with a mark of 9.75…consistent bars performer for the Gators, scoring a 9.65 or above in 10 meets.
AS A SOPHOMORE (1988) – Earned All-America honors for her eighth-place finishes in the NCAA Championships’ all-around (37.90) and floor exercise (9.50) competitions…successfully defended her Southeast Region all-around title with a season-high total of 38.70 – the nation’s highest all-around score posted in 1988 regional competition…Southeast Region balance beam champion (9.65) and runner-up in the uneven bars (9.75) and floor exercise (9.65) …earned All-SEC honors by finishing fourth in the SEC Championships all-around competition (38.05) …took fourth in the balance beam (9.50) and fifth in the uneven bars (9.60) at SECs…set Gator All-Time Best mark for the uneven bars (9.90) at the Georgia dual meet…took first in the balance beam at the Georgia dual meet with a career-best mark of 9.75…9.55 score for the uneven bars ranked ninth in NCAA Championships’ team competition…limited her contributions at the beginning of the season due to ankle problems – turned in her first all-around performance at the Penn State dual, finishing third (37.00) …Academic All-SEC Honor Roll selection.
AS A FRESHMAN (1987) – NCAA Southeast Region all-around champion (37.90) …placed third in all-around competition at the SEC Championships (37.65) to earn a spot on the All-SEC team…runner-up in NCAA Regional bar competition (9.45)…captured first all-around title against West Virginia, posted a score of 38.55…tied for sixth in the vault (9.40) and finished fifth on the uneven bars (9.55) at SEC Championships…took second at Georgia quad in first Gator all-around performance…won vault competition at Nutmeg Mills Classic with a 9.40…took second in all-around (37.80) at Louisiana State dual…won bars title at Maryland quad (9.65) and West Virginia dual (9.75).
PRIOR TO FLORIDA – 1985 Pre-World Finalist for vault and floor…member of 1983 Canadian World Championship seventh-place team…1983 Canadian National Team member…competed for Winstonettes club team…coached by Dave and Judy Holmes.
