Sarah Lowdon enters her first year as Florida Soccer's Director of Operations after a three-year stint as a manager with the program.
Originally from Newcastle, Lowdon started her collegiate career at Mississippi State in 2008 and transferred to McNeese State University to play for the Cowgirls in 2009, 2010 and 2011.
Lowdon graduated from McNeese State University with her bachelor’s degree in health and physical education. She went on to complete her master’s degree in the exercise physiology and health promotion double concentration in 2014.
Following graduation, Lowdon began a year long stint as an Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach at Wayland Baptist University, then took the Assistant Coach position at the Houston Dash – a position she held for two and half years before joining the Florida staff. During her time at the Houston Dash, she was also a kinesiology instructor at Sam Houston State University, as well as an Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach.
She joined the University of Florida Soccer program in June of 2017 as a manager. While at UF, Lowdon earned a master’s degree in sports management and in October of 2019, received her US Soccer Federation (USSF) National A-Senior Coaching License.
Lowdon also is a National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).
She also is quick with answers about U.S. history and government as she passed the U.S. Citizenship test in January of 2020 and officially became a dual citizen on Feb. 1, 2020.
