National/International Competition:
Competed in five events at the 2014 Phillips 66 National Championships in Irvine, Calif. and recorded two personal-best times… Set career-bests at the 2013 U.S. Nationals, as she competed in the 200 back and 200 IM… Was a member of the Junior National Team… Qualified for the Olympic Trials as a 14-year-old in the 100 back.
At Florida
2015-16:
NCAA Championships: Qualified in seven events to help the Florida women to a Top-20 finish at the NCAA Meet… Gathered Honorable-Mention All-America honors on a pair of Top-16 finishes… took 14th as a member of UF’s 400-yard freestyle relay squad (3:15.07) and 16th with the 800-yard freestyle relay (7:04.79)… gathered eight points off the two relays… swam a Top-20 finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay, placing 19th overall on a time of 1:29.95… also competed in the 400-yard Medley Relay (26th, 3:37.73), 200-yard IM (27th, season-best 1:57.71), 200-yard backstroke (28th, 1:54.80) and 200-yard freestyle (39th, 1:46.69)… SEC Championships: Qualified in four ‘A’ finals and posted her highest finishes on a pair of third-place finishing relay events… clocked a 7:03.44 as a member of the 800-yard freestyle relay team and a 3:14.49 in the 400-yard freestyle relay to bring home a pair of bronze medals… finished off her relay competitions with a sixth-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:29.97) and a 10th-place finish in the 400-yard medley relay (3:38.60)… individually qualified for the ‘A’ final and placed fifth overall in the 200-yard backstroke with a season-best time of 1:52.46… also placed third in the ‘B’ final of the 200-yard IM to finish 11th overall with a time of 1:57.76… placed 29th overall in the 400-yard IM (4:19.06)... tallied 231 of the Florida women’s 754 team points… Honors: named Second-Team All-SEC…
2014-15:
NCAA Championships: Earned three All-American honors, as she finished 10th in the 200-yard backstroke (1:52.01) and the other two as a member of UF’s seventh-place 400-yard freestyle (3:14.27) and 10th-place 800-yard freestyle (7:04.48) relay squads… SEC Championships: Individually, Linn placed third in the women’s 200-yard individual (1:56.40), fourth in the 200-yard backstroke (1:52.62) and third in the 400-yard IM B-Final (4:10.09)… Was also a member of the Gators runner-up 400-yard freestyle (3:14.12), third-place 800-yard freestyle relay (7:00.25), sixth-place 200-yard freestyle relay (1:29.43) and seventh-place 400-yard medley relay (3:34.76) squads at the conference meet… Finished with five individual wins and was part of 15 first-place relay teams during the dual meets and invitational competition… Honors: Three-time All-American… Second Team All-SEC… SEC Academic Honor Roll Selection.
2013-14:
NCAA Championships: Earned a trio of All-America honors, as she was a member the fifth-place 400-yard freestyle relay (3:13.85), eighth-place 800-yard freestyle relay (7:03.83) and the ninth-place 200-yard freestyle relay (1:27.54 – UF record) teams… Individually, Linn finished 26th in the 200-yard individual medley (1:57.68), 37th in the 400-yard individual medley (4:13.88) and 41st in the 200-yard backstroke (1:56.39)… SEC Championships: Individually, Linn placed eighth in the 200-yard individual medley (1:58.70) and 13th in the 200-yard backstroke (1:55.56)… In addition, she was a member of UF’s third-place 400-yard freestyle relay team that clocked a time of 3:14.11… Won multiple individual and relay events during dual meets and invitational competition… Honors: Three-time All-American… All-SEC… 2014 SEC Academic Honor Roll.
2012-13:
NCAA Championships: Earned her first All-America honor, as she finished 14th in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:54.16… In addition, Linn placed 29th in the 200-yard individual medley (1:58.77) and 30th in the 400-yard IM (4:13.72)… SEC Championships: Finished fourth in the 200-yard backstroke (1:52.70), sixth in the 200-yard IM (1:57.70) and eighth in the 400-yard IM (4:10.56), posting personal-best times in all three events... Recorded her first victory as a Gator in the 50-yard freestyle in a dual meet against South Carolina, as she finished with a time of 24.0 seconds… Made her collegiate debut at the All-Florida Invitational, where she placed second in the 200-yard backstroke (1:57.96) and third in the 200-yard IM (2:03.91)… Honors: All-American.
Prior to Florida:
2011 Florida state champion in both the 100 and 200 back… Named the Herald-Tribune’s All-Area Girls Swimmer of the Year for the fall of 2010… Was a member of the Sarasota YMCA Sharks, where she was coached by Steve Brown… Chose Florida over Auburn, Tennessee and Arizona… Parents are Jack and Sandra… Father, Jack, played football for the Detroit Lions… Has five siblings, Jackson, Kaylin, Cole, Courtney and Sydney.
