Dupay made six three-pointers and scored 18 points to help the Gators build a 59-40 halftime lead. But Tulane outscored the Gators 45-44 in the second half. Coach Billy Donovan was pleased with Dupay's performance. "Teddy shot the ball very well, if you look at one category," said Donovan, "but as far as the overall game, I wasn't very pleased with any of our guy's play."
Brent Wright scored 14 of his 20 points in the second half. Udonis Haslem was the only other Gator in double figures with 15. The Gators made 22 of 25 free throws and forced 25 turnovers. The Gators turned it over just 11 times.
Linton Johnson scored a career-high 22 points to lead the Green Wave.
The Gators are off to a 9-1 start for the sixth time in school history. They'll return home Saturday December 30th to close out the year with a game against the Wildcats of New Hampshire. Tip off at the O'Connell Center is set for 4pm eastern.
