Hidalgo Advances to Quarterfinals at National Indoors Back Draw

FLUSHING, N.Y.- Gator senior Diego Hidalgo advanced in the National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships back draw to the quarterfinal round on Friday afternoon.
Hidalgo was matched against Kevin Konfederak of Georgia Gwinnett College in the round of 16. The Gator was able to take down Konfederak in a three set match, 6-3, 6-7(1), 6-2.
In doubles action, the senior Gator tandem of Gordon Watson and Hidalgo fell to the No. 28 duo of Lawson and Monaghan of Notre Dame, 6-3, 6-7(4), 10-7.
Hidalgo will continue competition on Saturday with the quarterfinal round at the NIIC.
