FLUSHING, N.Y. – Senior UF tennis player Diego Hidalgo fell in his quarterfinal match at the USTA/ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships on Saturday afternoon to end his run in the singles back draw.
The Gator was matched against a familiar foe in FSU's Benjamin Lock. Lock jumped to an early lead in the match and did not look back. The Florida senior fell to Lock in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4.
With the Gators' run ending at the National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships, the team will now turn its focus to the spring campaign. Florida will open its fall season at home in a doubleheader match against Troy and Stetson.
