Florida’s Briana Solis Headed to U.S. U-19 National Team Camp

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Freshman midfielder Briana Solis is headed to U.S. Under-19 National Team camp next week. The camp is set for Jan. 23-30 in Lakewood Ranch, Florida.
This is the third youth national soccer camp this month that includes past and present Gators. Currently, the U.S. U-23 camp is going on in Carson, California. That camp includes Gabby Seiler, Havana Solaun and Christen Westphal. The first week of the year saw freshman midfielder Mayra Pelayo at the U.S. U-20 camp in Chula Vista, California. Another Gator, freshman goalkeeper Kaylan Marckese, attended a U.S. U-18 camp that was held Dec. 13-20, 2015 in Chula Vista.
Solis appeared in 20 matches in her freshman season with three starts. She scored her first goal versus Arkansas and registered assists in NCAA action versus Western Michigan and William & Mary.
