Thursday, February 11, 2016 | Track and Field
Florida's distance runners will head to Iowa State, while the remaining groups will compete at Arkansas
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The University of Florida track and field program already boasts 14 times or marks inside the top 16 of the NCAA Indoor Descending Order List, but that number could grow after trips to the Iowa State Classic and Tyson Invitational this weekend (Feb. 12-13).
The Gators, ranked No. 1 on the men's side and No. 4 on the women's side for a second straight week, will send their distance crew to Ames, Iowa for the Iowa State Classic.
The rest of UF's groups will race at the Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark. It will mark Florida's second trip to the Randal Tyson Track Center this year.
NCAA leaders in all the men's sprints and hurdles events, along with three of the four men's jumps events are slated to compete at the Tyson Invitational. On the women's side, three of the four NCAA leaders in the sprints and hurdles, including Florida's own Shayla Sanders (60 meters) and Kyra Jefferson (200 meters), will race in Fayetteville.
Live streaming of the Tyson Invitational will be provided by SEC Network Plus via Watch ESPN. Day one is set to stream from 6-8 p.m. ET, while Saturday's action will be broadcast from 1:30-6 p.m. ET.
