Gators Top Razorbacks 4-3 for Second SEC Road Win

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The No. 16 Florida men's tennis team defeated the No. 46 Arkansas Razorbacks to advance to a 4-1 SEC record to open the season. This is the team's second conference win on the road after defeating Ole Miss on Thursday afternoon (March 17).
In doubles play, the Gators started off strong with a 6-1 win from Joshua Wardell and Chase Perez-Blanco in the third position. The No. 4 doubles team of Johannes Ingildsen and Alfredo Perez took down the No. 56 team of Mike Redlicki and Jose Salazar to clinch the doubles point for Florida.
In the singles competition, No. 79 Elliott Orkin fell to No. 24 Salazar in the second position, but Joseph Guillin followed it up with a 6-2, 6-4 win over Juan Marino. This is Guillin's second dual match of his career, and the freshman from Paris, France has earned a singles point in both matches.
The points kept going back and forth, as Maxx Lipman fell to Johan den Toom in the No. 5 position. No. 10 Perez was able to pull out a huge ranked win over No. 6 Redlicki, winning 6-3, 6-3 to earn the third point for the Gators.
Perez-Blanco clinched the match for UF with a 6-4, 7-5 win over Adam Sanjurjo. The Gators now hold a 28-2 all-time record over the Razorbacks.
