No. 3 Gators to Take on No. 6 Rebels in SEC Tournament Quarterfinals

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The Florida men's tennis team will take on Ole Miss in the quarterfinal round of the SEC Tournament on Friday, April 28. The Rebels took down the Auburn Tigers 4-1 in the first round of the tournament on Thursday morning (April 27).
The Rebels hold a 6-4 series record over the Gators in the SEC Tournament. The two teams have met twice in the quarterfinal round of the tournament – Florida won in 1995 to move on to the semifinals and Ole Miss won in 2012.
The last time the two teams met was earlier this season in Oxford, Miss., where No. 16 Florida beat No. 42 Ole Miss to earn its third SEC win of the season. The Gators hold a 37-23 all-time record over the Rebels.
Florida is looking to repeat its success in the tournament this year after winning the title last year in Columbia, S.C. The Gators took down Vanderbilt in the quarterfinals, Texas A&M in the semifinals and Georgia in the final round to claim the team's fifth SEC Tournament title.
