
Ingildsen and Perez Represent UF in NCAA Individual Tournament

ATHENS, Ga. – Following the conclusion of the dual season, the Florida men's tennis team will send two players to compete in the 2017 NCAA Individual Championships. The competition is set to begin with the first round of singles play Wednesday (May 24) at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex at the University of Georgia.
Sophomore Alfredo Perez and Freshman Johannes Ingildsen are set to compete in the doubles competition as a No. 3 seed, while Perez will represent the Gators in the singles competition as a No. 6 seed.
As a pair, the two recorded a team-high 21 wins in their first year playing together, and finished the regular season ranked No. 2 in the country. Perez earned a 24-10 overall record in his sophomore season, bringing him to 60 career singles wins and 100 career overall wins.
This is Perez's second appearance in the individual championships in the same number of seasons at UF. Last year, he entered the singles tournament ranked No. 53 and advanced to the second round of the competition.
The first round of the singles competition will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 24th, while the first round of the doubles competition will begin on Thursday, May 25th. Times below will be updated when determined.
