Tulsa, Okla. – Florida opened the 2017 Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-American Championship on Saturday with both
Andy Andrade and
Stephen Madonia competing in the pre-qualifying draw.

Madonia had a great showing in the first round of competition in Tulsa, Okla. picking up a quick 6-0, 6-0 victory against Rok Krizaj of the University of Nebraska. The win advanced Madonia to the round of 128 where he met Diego Giraldo Restrepo of the University of Missouri-Kansas City. In the round of 128 Madonia earned a 6-1, 6-4 win over Restrepo.

Andrade was the only other Gator to compete on Saturday in the All-American event. In the first round of the Saturday's action Andrade battled Mathieu Scaglia of Oklahoma State University. Andrade picked up a 6-2, set one win before falling in rounds two and three, 6-3, 6-0.
