GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Gators road trip against Big Ten teams continues on Sunday. Florida will travel from Ann Arbor, Michigan to Columbus Ohio to take on the Buckeyes of Ohio State Sunday at noon.
Florida is coming off a 4-2 win over No. 13 Michigan on Friday night. The Gators switched up their lineup and it paid dividends, earning the doubles point and taking three of the five singles points that finished.
Gator Notes
• This will be the Gators second consecutive match played indoors. UF is 1-0 when playing inside this season
• With a win on Sunday, Florida will earn their first win over a team ranked in the ITA top 5 since 2015
• McClain Kessler and Duarte Vale played their first match at No. 1 singles against Michigan, earning the win
• When the Gators win the doubles point, they are 4-0 this season
• UF is still perfect at the No. 5 singles position with a 4-0 record. Three of those wins have come from freshman Andy Andrade
• When Alfredo Perez and Johannes Ingildsen compete at No. 1 and two singles, they are each 3-0

• Ohio State stayed undefeated after defeating No. 6 Texas A&M on Friday 4-3
• OSU earned wins at No. 1, 2 and 6 singles as well as No. 1 and 3 doubles
• The Buckeyes have four student-athletes ranked in the ITA Singles rankings: No. 5 Mikael Torpegaard, No. 30 Kyle Seelig, No. 44 JJ Wolf, and No. 56 John McNally. In doubles, they have pairs ranked at No. 25 (Torpegaard/Joyce) and No. 43 (Mendez/Tubert)
• Texas A&M was the first team this year to win a point over OSU
• OSU is 2-0 against ranked teams this season. They also beat No. 16 Texas
