A total of 20 ranked teams--including Florida's men and women--will compete at Arkansas
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Florida's final tune-up for championship season will give fans a preview of June's NCAA Outdoor Championships—where the men are the two-time defending champions and the women are coming off a fifth-place finish—as this weekend's National Relay Championships feature a total of 20 ranked men's and women's teams.
BROADCAST INFORMATION (all times Eastern)
There are 11 nationally-ranked teams on the women's side, along with nine on the men's side. Four of those women's teams are in the top 10, along with two more from the top 15. Two of the men's teams are in the top 10, and four more reside in the top 15. The Gators enter the weekend with the No. 1-ranked men's squad and No. 9-ranked women's team.
In terms of relays, Florida travels to Arkansas with a nation-leading men's 4x400 quartet, the fourth-ranked men's 4x100 relay team, and the sixth-ranked women's 4x400 squad. The men's 4x400 race, scheduled to conclude Saturday's live television broadcast, will see the Gators race four of the nation's top nine teams. Just before that race, five of the top nine women's 4x400 teams, including Florida, will run against one another.
There will be plenty of individual events as well, with several Gators still chasing or looking to improve upon NCAA East Preliminary qualifying times and marks.
