GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida earned 18 NCAA Indoor Championships entries, including 13 on the men's side (second-most in the nation), as announced by the NCAA late Tuesday night.
The Gators' 18 combined entries are tied with Southern California for the fourth-highest total in the nation, behind only Arkansas and LSU (20 apiece), and Texas Tech (19).
Three Gators entries are the top seed in their respective events—senior Yanis David (triple jump) and junior Grant Holloway (60 meters; 60-meter Hurdles).
Florida's men, the defending indoor national champions, are ranked No. 2 nationally. The Gators have finished third or higher at 19 of the last 20 NCAA Championships, including nine of the last 10 indoors. Florida also boasts eight national titles and top-two finishes at 21 of the 32 NCAA Championships for which Mike Holloway has been head coach.
Florida's women check in at No. 4 nationally. The Gators finished fourth last year, their first top-four finish since 2015. Florida will attempt to podium for a second consecutive year for the first time since 2014 (third) and 2015 (fourth).
