Florida's men won this year's NCAA Indoor Championships, and the Gators have won a Division I-leading nine indoor and outdoor national titles since 2010. Florida's men have also finished second or won the title at 22 of 33 NCAA Championships since 2003, Mike Holloway's first year as head coach. The Gators were second at NCAA Outdoors last year, and it won the team title in 2016 and 2017.
Two-time defending 110-meter hurdles champion Grant Holloway leads the men, as he attempts to become the first collegian in history to sweep the indoor and outdoor high hurdles NCAA titles three years in a row.
Florida's women were fifth at last year's NCAA Outdoors, just as they were in 2017. The Gators posted back-to-back top-five finishes for the first time since 2003-04, but this year they are in the mix for their first NCAA Outdoors trophy – awarded to the top four teams – since taking fourth place in 2014.
Seniors Sharrika Barnett and Yanis David lead the charge on the women's side. Barnett is the NCAA leader in the women's 400 meters, while David won this year's indoor triple jump national title and ranks second nationally in the long jump.
