COLUMBIA, S.C. – Florida continued its strong start to the fall season by going 10-3 in its 13 matches on Saturday in the Gamecock Fall SEC Shootout at the Carolina Tennis Center.

The Gators began the day by going 3-1 in their doubles matches with the pairings of Duarte Vale and Josh Goodger, Ben Shelton and Sam Riffice, and Brian Berdusco and Will Grant pulling off victories.

Vale, Goodger, Berdusco, Grant all won their singles matches as well along with Andy Andrade, Blaise Bicknell and Lukas Greif.

Florida is scheduled to wrap up play in Columbia on Sunday at 9:30 a.m. ET with a matchup against Texas A&M. This match can be followed through live results and a live stream.

Day One Recap

Florida kicked off the Gamecock Fall SEC Shootout on Friday by going 7-2 in singles play and 2-2 in doubles play across its 13 matches played on day one at the Carolina Tennis Center.

The Gators started off the day by splitting the doubles matches with the pairings of Blaise Bicknell/Andy Andrade and Lukas Greif/Will Grant earning victories on courts three and four respectively.

Andrade, Bicknell, Grant and Greif would go on to win their respective singles matches along with Duarte Vale, Ben Shelton and Josh Goodger posting wins as well in their matches.

Florida is now scheduled to play Georgia on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. ET as the tournament schedule has been shifted slightly to allow flexibility should any bad weather enter the area.
