GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida men's tennis team added another fall competition to the schedule as a couple of Gators will head to South Carolina for a hidden dual tournament hosted by the Clemson University on Friday, Nov. 5 through Sunday, Nov. 7 at the Duckworth Family Tennis Facility.
In addition to Florida and Clemson, the other teams competing at the tournament are SEC-foe Georgia, Middle Tennessee State, VCU and Yale.
The Gators will have two representing Florida at the matches as Nate Bonetto and Lukas Greif are traveling to South Carolina.
Bonetto is coming off an impressive weekend at the ITA Southeast Regional tournament where he made the furthest run in singles competition for Florida. The freshman accumulated a 3-1 singles record, including a couple of ranked wins over his opponents, to advance to the quarterfinals. He ranks second on the team with 10 singles wins so far.
Greif last competed at the Crimson Chowderfest hosted by Harvard in September and holds a 3-1 fall singles record. The Gator has collected wins against opponents from South Carolina, Cal and Arizona State.
Matches begin at 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, then start at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Sunday.
All matches are free and open to the public. Face coverings are required according to the mask mandate on Clemson's campus within indoor spaces.
