What UF's Tony Amato Said:
On today's match:
"I thought overall today we were good enough to win the game. Obviously when you get into extra time, it is just a play at time. One play ends the game and they found a way to do that so credit to them in extra time.
"We have to find a way to get a goal earlier in the game to switch things in our favor. We weren't able to do that. There was a chance or two that we could have done that, but we didn't. As the game wore on, it was going to come down to one moment and they found a way to get the moment there at the end of the first overtime.
"We have to get things solved, keep getting better, and find a way to build off some of the adversity of early season losses. The whole season is ahead of us. We'll keep chipping away and we'll be at a better place in a few weeks." Florida Head Coach Tony Amato
On team's opportunities after halftime:
"Thought we were a little more aggressive in the second half, which helped create some of those chances. We were hoping by having a volume of chances that would lead to goals. That final decision at the top of the box, whether it is someone stepping through the ball on a shot or getting on the end of a cross or getting in position to deliver a quality cross – we didn't find that key moment.
"We'll take a look at it. We've got to be more dynamic, more threatening and aggressive in those moments. And then with a bit of composure and some quality to tuck it in the back of the net. We are capable of doing that; we just have to get in those spots more often and put it in the back of the net." Florida Head Coach Tony Amato
