Florida Sends Eight to ITA Men's All-American Championships in Tulsa

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Coming off a great weekend at the Crimson Chowderfest, where the Florida Gators men's tennis team totaled 23 wins, the team will now shift its focus to the ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa, Okla., running from October 2 through October 10 at the Michael D. Case Center at the University of Tulsa and the Case Tennis Center in LaFortune Park.

There will be around 400 singles players and 88 doubles teams at the tournament throughout the course of the nine-day event. The pre-qualifying rounds are set to run October 2 and October 3, followed by the qualifying rounds October 4-5. The main draw will begin October 6 and finish on October 10.

Florida will send eight student-athletes to the tournament. Both No. 14 Andy Andrade and No. 86 Ben Shelton will compete in the singles main draw. Four Gators – No. 59 Josh Goodger, No. 103 Mattias Siimar, No. 111 Lukas Greif and freshman Abedallah Shelbayh – are in the singles qualifying draw, while Will Grant and Nate Bonetto will each compete in pre-qualifying singles.

Florida also has two doubles pairs in the tournament as No. 57 Siimar and Shelbayh and duo Greif and Andrade are in the qualifying doubles draw.
