All-Florida Doubles and Singles Matches Conclude Gator Invite

Gators teammates met in a doubles championship and both singles championships.
GAINSEVILLE, Fla. – The Florida men's tennis team completed their weekend at the Gator Fall Invite and met familiar faces in their final matches on Sunday.
In the doubles final of the Blue draw, the Gators pairing of Nate Bonetto and Axel Nefve faced fellow Gators pairing of Jonah Braswell and Lukas Greif. It was a tight match, but the lefties Bonetto and Nefve pulled away 8-5. Another Gators' duo played in the final, as Tanapatt Nirundorn/Togan Tokac played No. 26 ranked Lleyton Cronje/Bogdan Pavel from UCF for the Orange draw championship. In the freshmen pairs' seventh ranked doubles match of the fall, Cronje/Pavel came out on top 8-4.
Two Gator versus Gator matches took place in the finals of both draws. No. 34 Nefve squared up with Will Grant in a strong match between the two and Nefve came away with a 7-6 (5), 6-3 win to be the Orange champion. No. 91 Bonetto and Braswell also proved to be an excellent showing with Bonetto winning 6-2, 7-6 (4).
Greif and Nirundorn both notched their third singles wins of the tournament in their final matches. Greif continued his tear through his opponents racing past Connor Krug of Duke 6-1, 6-3 for his third straight set win. Nirundorn came out the gate on fire against Miami's Franco Aubone dealing a 6-3 first set, but Aubone answered with a 6-3 second frame of his own. Nirundorn locked back in for the third set and was able to stave off the Hurricane for a 7-5 final set to win the match.
Overall, Florida finished with 27 wins – seven doubles and 20 singles - as a team at the Gator Fall Invite.
