Florida men's tennis has inked three incoming freshmen during the early signing period. The Gators' first signing class under head coach Adam Steinberg includes Kevin Edengren of Norway, Henry Jefferson from Great Britain and Francesco Cordova of Katy, Texas.
Edengren and Jefferson expect to enroll for Spring 2024 and compete in the 2024 team season, along with fellow freshmen Aidan Kim and Jeremy Jin, who competed in the Fall season for UF. Cordova will join the Gators in Fall 2024.
Edengren has climbed as high as 20th in the International Tennis Federation (ITF) Junior Rankings, achieving that mark over this past summer.
Jefferson competed in singles and doubles at the Wimbledon Junior Championships, picking up a victory in the singles draw, and reaching a top-250 ITF ranking.
Cordova has climbed into the top 175 in the ITF rankings and has a 70% win rate in juniors singles matches.
