The Florida men's tennis team claimed a pair of tournament wins in the Bedford Cup at the USTA National Campus in Lake Nona, Fla., on Sunday.
Sophomores Tanapatt Nirundorn and Borys Zgola earned the doubles championship, topping North Florida's duo of Breno Marques and Andreas Scott, 6-4. The Florida duo finished with a 3-0 record over the weekend after a pair of victories on Friday.
In singles play, Florida teammates Olek Orlikowski and Magnus Johnson met in the singles final, with Orlikowski prevailing. Both Gators won three matches between Friday and Saturday to set up Sunday's Orange and Blue clash.
Johnson battled to two three-set wins in Saturday's quarterfinals and semifinals, while Orlikowski posted a 4-0 singles record at the event without dropping a set.
Florida sees action next at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-American event in Tulsa, Okla., with pre-qualifying set to begin Sept. 30. Action continues through the main draw final on Oct. 8.
