TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –  The Florida men's tennis team suffered a 4-0 loss to No. 15 Florida State on Friday at the Scott Speicher Memorial Tennis Center. This marks the second loss of the season for Florida, moving to 2-2 overall.

UF dropped the doubles point after losses on courts two and three. The Seminoles gained an advantage with a 6-2 win from Jan Sebesta and Jamie Connel over Bradley Paliska and Niels Villard. FSU clinched the doubles after No. 112 Erik Schiessl and Joshua Dous-Karpenschif defeated Adhithya Ganesan and Jeremy Jin 6-4.
 
No. 16 Henry Jefferson and Tanapatt Nirundorn trailed Florida State's No. 6 Alex Bulte and Youcef Rihane 5-3 before the match went unfinished.
 
In singles, FSU extended its lead as Nirundorn fell to Dous-Karpenschif 6-1, 6-1 on court five. The Seminoles logged another point after Azariah Rusher recorded a 6-3, 6-1 win over Bradley Paliska.
 
Florida State sealed the match on court two, where Ganesean dropped his match to Connel 6-2, 6-2.
 
No. 41 Jin dropped the first set 6-1 to No. 9 Corey Craig but led 5-2 in the second before the match was halted.
 
No. 106 Jefferson led Bulte 7-5, 2-3 on court three, while JanMagnus Johnson battled on court four, trailing Schiessl 6-3, 4-1.

Two Gators are ranked in singles competition: Jeremy Jin at No. 41 and Henry Jefferson at No. 106.  Doubles pair Tanapatt Nirundorn and Henry Jefferson also cracked into the ITA rankings at No. 16. Kevin Edengren and Jeremy Jin round out the ranked players for Florida sitting at No. 76.
