Gators Send Five to ITA Southeast Regionals

Lake Nona, Fla. – After having the weekend off, the Gators women's tennis program is back on the road for ITA Southeast Regionals Championship, which is being hosted by the University of Central Florida at the USTA National Campus.
The USTA National Campus is a premier tennis center located in Orlando, Fla. and is the annual site of the NCAA DI National Championship tournament each fall.
The five Gators making the trip to regionals include returner Nikola Daubnerova, Xinyi Nong, Valery Gynina, Lucie Pawlak and Gabia Paskauskas. Each athlete will compete in the singles competition, with all of them earning a spot in the competition's main draw. Gynina and Paskauskas will both begin singles competition at 11:15 a.m. EST while Pawlak, Nong and Daubnerova will begin at 12:30 p.m. EST.
The doubles teams of Gynina and Pawlak and Daubnerova and Nong earned a first round bye in the tournament. This makes their first day of matches also on Friday, Oct. 17 with Nong and Daubnerova starting at 9:30 a.m. EST and Pawlak and Gynina starting at 9 a.m. EST.
