Gators Undefeated in Doubles Action at Bedford Cup

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Following their trip to the Bedford Cup hosted by the University of North Florida, the Gators went undefeated in doubles. The tournament welcomed schools across the state of Florida. The other schools in attendance included Miami, Stetson, South Florida, Florida International, Florida Atlantic and Central Florida.
Nikola Daubnerova, Xinyi Nong, Lucie Pawlak, Gabia Paskauskas and Valery Gynina all made the trip up north to compete in singles, with the double's pairings being Daubnerova and Nong reuniting and Paskauskas and Pawlak teaming up for their first tournament as partners.
In doubles, the Gators had a combined 5-0 record, with Daubnerova and Nong having a 2-0 record after a first round bye and a 3-0 record for Pawlak and Paskauskas.
In singles, the Gators total record was 9-6 but three of the losses were due to walkovers with Paskauskas retiring from singles matches. Daubnerova earned a 3-0 record after a first round bye, while Nong, Pawlak and Gynina all went 2-1 for the weekend.
