
Two Gators on the Road for ITA Masters and ITA Sectionals

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Two Gators are making their way to the ITA Conference Masters Championship and the ITA Men's South Sectional Championships. Junior Henry Jefferson is headed to Athens, Ga. to compete in the ITA Sectionals, while junior Jeremy Jin heads to the opposite coast to play in San Diego, Calif. for the ITA Masters.
ITA Men's South Sectionals Championship
The ITA Men's South Sectionals Championship will be comprised of schools located in the Ohio Valley, Southeast and Southern regions from Nov. 6-9 with matches beginning at 10 a.m. EST. The main draw for the tournament will be a field of 32 for singles and 16 for doubles. Six singles players from each of the four sections (24 total) will be sent to NCAAs (semifinalists, two quarterfinal playoff winners).
Jefferson will begin competition against No. 46 Danil Panarin from Vanderbilt University at 11:30 a.m. EST.
ITA Conference Masters Championship
The ITA Conference Masters Championship also runs from Nov. 6-9 with one singles player and one doubles pairing being designated to represent each Division I conference. The tournament begins with a round of 32 for singles and a round of 16 for doubles. The semifinalists for the singles bracket will all earn a spot in NCAAs, while the two finalists and the third-place winner in doubles will all advance to the NCAA Doubles Championship.
Jin starts competition at 2 p.m. EST against Kevin Titus Suresh from Saint Francis University (Penn.). Jin's last tournament was the ITA Southeast Regional hosted by the Gators, where he defeated opponents from Mercer and Stetson to reach the round of 16 before falling to Florida State's Erik Schiessl.
