Thursday, February 13, 2025 | Track and Field
The Gators look to continue steady improvements before the conference and national meets.
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Florida Gators Track and Field is set to make their final regular season efforts at the Tyson Invitational, beginning on Friday, February 14 and continuing on Saturday, February 15 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The meet is the last major date on the Gators' indoor schedule before the postseason begins with the SEC Indoor Championships in College Station, Texas.
A small cohort of distance runners will make a trip to Boston University to compete in the David Hemery Valentine Invite.
Last Time Out
The Gators performed well in their last trip to the natural state two weekends ago, with a few performances from the Razorback Invitational standing out among the rest. Anthaya Charlton and Jenoah McKiver each claimed athlete of the week honors from the conference for their world-leading performances in the Long Jump and 400m respectively. Charlton and Wanya McCoy each earned their way onto the first midseason update for the Bowerman watch list for their efforts thus far.
Last weekend, Olemomoi became the first Gator to participate in the Millrose Games since 2014, one of the most famous Indoor track events of each season. She recorded an 8:51.05 time in the 3000m, good for No. 2 in program history.
