
Gators Clash with Tigers in Midweek Battle

Florida travels to Baton Rouge to face the LSU Tigers on Thursday evening
BATON ROUGE, La.– The Gators travel to Baton Rouge to face the LSU Tigers on Thursday at 6 p.m. at the LSU Tennis Complex. The contest is the third of four matches set to be played on the road for UF.
Florida enters the match with an 11-7 overall record and 6-3 in conference play. The Gators last outing was a 4-0 shutout victory over Vanderbilt. UF secured the doubles point and took courts five, three, and four in straight sets to solidify the win.
In doubles, Jeremy Jin and Adhithya Ganesan took court two with a 7-5 victory over Pablo Martinez Gomez and Danil Panarin. No. 18 Henry Jefferson and Tanapatt Nirundorn sealed the point for the Gators after recording a 7-6 (7-4) win over No. 37 Nathan Cox and Michael Ross.
Kevin Edengren logged the first singles point for the Orange and Blue cruising to a 6-1, 6-3 win over Henry Ruger on court five. JanMagnus Johnson followed securing a 6-3, 6-3 over Ross extending the Gators the lead to 3-0. No. 113 Jefferson sealed the match on court four defeating Martinez Gomez 6-4, 7-5.
The Tigers enter Sunday's match with a 10-12 overall record and 0-9 in conference action. LSU's last outing was a 7-0 win against non-conference opponent Southern University.
