Prior to FIU, Styles spent five seasons on Garbar's staff at Franklin Pierce University, rising to the role of top assistant during the 2018-19 season. In that role, he helped guide the Ravens to the 2018 Northeast-10 Conference championship, one of the nation's most competitive Division II women's soccer leagues. Franklin Pierce also earned a berth in the 2018 NCAA Division II Championship Tournament, advancing to the second round.
Styles began his tenure at Franklin Pierce as a graduate assistant from 2016-17. During the 2017 season, the Ravens made their first NCAA Division II Tournament appearance since 2010.
In addition to on-field responsibilities, Styles served as the program's Northeast recruiting coordinator and organized and marketed ID Prospect Clinics for prospective student-athletes. During his four seasons with the program, Franklin Pierce players earned numerous accolades, including three All-America honors, six United Soccer Coaches All-Region selections, one NE-10 Player of the Year, one NE-10 Defensive Player of the Year and 10 NE-10 All-Conference selections.
After the 2021 season at FIU, Styles remained active in the sport through work with Vertex Soccer, a global network that connects players with scholarship opportunities, tours and professional development services.
Styles has also been heavily involved in youth soccer, including work with Global Premier Soccer New Hampshire, where he coached older age groups. He earned his U.S. Soccer Federation National D License in 2018.
A native of Bognor Regis, England, Styles played four seasons of Division I men's soccer at Hartwick College. As a senior, he earned All-Sun Belt Conference second-team honors and finished his career with 19 points on five goals and nine assists as a midfielder. He was also named to the Sun Belt All-Tournament Team as a junior. During his collegiate career, Hartwick won two Sun Belt Championships and made two NCAA Tournament appearances.
Styles earned his bachelor's degree from Hartwick College in 2015 and a master's degree in sports management from Franklin Pierce University in 2018.
