Florida will send athletes to Tallahassee and Raleigh for season-opening competition

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida Gators track and field team will open its outdoor campaign across two meets, splitting its roster between events in Florida and North Carolina.

Florida will send 21 athletes to Tallahassee to compete in the Terry Long FSU Relays, while eight distance runners will travel to Raleigh, N.C. for the Raleigh Relays.

Both meets are scheduled to take place Thursday, March 26, through Friday, March 27.

LAST TIME OUT
The Gators concluded a successful indoor stint at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championship in Fayetteville, Ark. Florida's men finished third overall with 26 team points across the two day competition, marking their twelfth top-three finish at the national meet since 2010. The women totaled 27 points, tying for fifth in the final team standings alongside BYU.

Each of Florida's 20 competitors earned All-America honors at the championships, highlighted by 15 first team selections and five second team nods.
