
No. 24 Men’s Tennis Plays One at Home Against No. 18 Texas A&M

The Gators Men’s Tennis team is 1-3 in the SEC entering their second match of a six match homestand.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida Men's Tennis team is back at home with No. 18 Texas A&M coming to face the Gators on Friday, March 6 at 5 p.m. EST.
The Gators have four ranked in singles, with No. 31 Pablo Perez Ramos, No. 50 Henry Jefferson, No. 67 Jeremy Jin and No. 87 Adhithya Ganesan. In doubles, Jefferson and Nirundorn were ranked at No. 20, while Jefferson and Lorenzo Claverie were also ranked at No. 89.
Recapping the Weekend
The Gators split the weekend with matches on the road and back at home, coming out with their first conference win. The team played the Kentucky Wildcats in Lexington, Ky. and walked away with a 4-3 victory with the clinch coming from Lorenzo Claverie on court three. The Gators also saw big time performances from Henry Jefferson and Pablo Perez Ramos on courts one and two, defeating two ranked opponents including a top-20 win for Ramos.
Florida returned to their home courts for a Sunday match up against South Carolina, where the Gamecocks left the Alfred A. Ring Tennis Complex with a 5-2 victory over the Gators. Kevin Edengren and Tanapatt Nirundorn were the two winners on courts five and six, with Edengren going 2-0 in SEC singles play.

The Aggies are 14-9 against the Gators, 9-5 on the season and 2-2 in the SEC, with wins coming against Ole Miss and Kentucky and losses from Georgia and Vanderbilt. Texas A&M has two doubles pairings ranked in the top 50 (Theo Papamalamis/Togan Tokac – 29; Khololwam Montsi/Alex Frusina – 48) and three ranked in the top 100 for singles (Khololwam Montsi – 49; Theo Papamalamis – 64; Alex Frusina – 86).
